Hi, I'm Abhay Jain. I spend my days trying to build meaningful companies and make myself a better person. Lover of food, travel, and music.

Abhay Jain's Bio:

Abhay Jain (born February 25, 1986) is an American businessman of Indian descent widely known as a founder and the CEO of Soundscope.  Abhay was born to Adish and Anju Jain, an immigrant family of engineers from India hoping to start a new life in the US in the late 70s. The oldest of two, Abhay grew up in Richmond, Virginia to a modest but large extended family.  He graduated from Mills E. Godwin High School, Center for Mathematics and Science in 2004 and entered the class of 2008 at Virginia Tech as pre-medicine biology major.  He was near the top of his class and proceeded to intern at hospitals around the globe. Throughout his travels and patient care experience, he realized he was more enamored by the groundbreaking work of the hospital managers rather than the doctors treating patients individually.  Thus, Abhay dramatically shifted his academic career towards business and policy during his senior year at Virginia Tech. Following graduation, he switched careers between biotechnology startups and strategic consulting before entering Duke University to pursue at JD/MBA.  At Duke he was accepted into the Program for Entrepreneurs and received the Duda Family Scholarship among other accolades and spent his summer interning in the law, finance, and entrepreneurship.  He also helped found Scene-ster, a social sharing startup, his 2nd year which, unfortunately, was terminated following alpha testing.  He graduated in May of 2013 and launched Soundscope with a fellow Duke Law student named Matthew Catalano.   Since graduation he has launched the company, moved to New York, and got engaged to the love of his life, Shrivika Ramaswamy.  Abhay is an ambitious and inspiring individual eager to make an impact on the world.
